Honestly, it’s made me feel pretty sad and hopeless at times when I’ve walked in here. It’s just so much darkness and it feels dirty and dingy too.

We thought we would just live with it until we were ready to rip everything out and start moving doors and walls and stuff, but recently it’s become clear to me that it’s just not something I can handle.I need a quick-fix interim solution.I need to be able to enjoy this room even while I’m waiting for all of my renovation dreams to come true.

So, in the spirit of.my bathroom redo.

that I just completed, I decided to tackle this room as well.. I’m going to be completing this project little by little, section by section, and mostly all by myself, just when I can find the time.

And let’s face it: It’s going to take a lot of time!.They’ll still look great next year too, so I’m all set for then!.

I pulled together some different ornaments from my stash to fill out the tree, but I wanted to do one type of DIY ornament that would match the fabrics I’m already using in there to give the tree a fancy custom look.Of course, that didn’t mean that I wanted to put in any real time or effort, I just wanted it to look awesome and cute and take about 5 minutes.

Is that so much to ask?All you need to gather is a few ornaments that you won’t be using this year, some squares of fabric, and a ribbon.
